Connect Yahoo
In Fantasy HofF, choose Add league, select Yahoo, and authorize the read-only connection with the account that can access your league.
Choose the league and the seasons offered by the importer. Check your first and most recent season before completing the import.

Review the seasons. Match the franchises.
Match renamed teams and returning owners to the right franchise. If your league later moved to another platform, add that era to the same museum.

Start with the champions and record book. Compare one known season to the source before sharing it with the league.
How to find your Yahoo league history
Open the right Yahoo profile
Sign in to the Yahoo account you used to play. In your Fantasy profile, select football and open History. An old season under a different Yahoo account will not appear in your current profile.
Choose the season and league
Open the league from the season you want to revisit. Check that the league name, teams, and year match your group; a profile can contain several leagues in the same season.
Check the league’s own history
Yahoo also supports league history for eligible renewed leagues when it is enabled. Use the profile route if the league’s history view does not show the season you need.

A new team name is not a new franchise
Yahoo team names can change every year. Use the owner and league context when joining seasons, rather than treating the display name as a permanent identifier. Historical player-point details can take longer to finish importing than the season-level results.
Check scores, standings, drafts, and lineups separately. Coverage varies by year and provider; an import cannot restore data the source no longer exposes.
Missing Yahoo league history? Start here
I can see this season, but not the old league
Open your Fantasy profile’s football History rather than relying only on the current league page. Then check whether you used a second Yahoo account in the missing year. Ask a returning manager for the original league link; it is more useful than a team name that has changed several times.
Two old leagues have almost the same name
Match the year, owner group, and teams before importing. Commissioners sometimes recreate a league instead of renewing it. A familiar title alone does not establish that two leagues belong in the same historical archive.
An award is missing after the import
First check whether the season and team scores are present. If they are, the missing piece may be player-level detail still being collected, rather than a failed season import. A championship can be recorded from final results while a best-lineup award still lacks its inputs.
Moving from Yahoo to Sleeper or ESPN
Before the move, collect the original Yahoo links and note which year the new platform takes over. In your museum, add the Yahoo seasons first, then the new platform’s seasons, and review the franchise matches. Do not create two versions of the same year simply because a native migration also copied it into the new platform.
For example, a group that played on Yahoo through 2022 and Sleeper from 2023 onward has two platform eras and one league history. “Sunday Scaries” in 2021 and “Fourth & Long” in 2022 might be the same franchise; confirm that with the owner history before merging them.
How to build an accurate all-time record book
Before comparing managers across seasons, decide what each record includes. A season champion, a regular-season points leader, and a franchise’s lifetime win total answer different questions. Keep the original results and explain your counting rules.

Same franchise. Two names. One record.
A team goes 8–6 as “Fourth & Long” in one regular season and 9–5 as “Sunday Scaries” the next. If your league treats those as the same continuing franchise, its combined regular-season record is 17–11. Keep any playoff wins in a separately labelled total. If the owner changed, distinguish franchise history from the new manager’s personal record.

Save a clear copy of the final standings and championship result where you have access to them. Name supporting files with the year and report type so they can be matched to the right row. Never put account passwords or session cookies in an archive worksheet.
When a year is incomplete, write down exactly what is missing: an inaccessible season, a missing draft, or a lineup report without player points. This gives the next commissioner a concrete task and avoids treating a partially preserved season as either fully complete or entirely lost.

- Check that renamed teams belong to the right franchise.
- Let historical player details finish before judging lineup-based awards.

Why is a Yahoo season missing?
First check the Yahoo account, sport, and year. A missing season in one history view does not prove the source data is gone. If the original league cannot be accessed, Fantasy HofF cannot guarantee its recovery.
Can I combine Yahoo history with ESPN or Sleeper?
Yes. Add the other provider’s available seasons to the same Fantasy HofF museum and review the franchise matches. This preserves the eras together without moving your live league.
Can I view Yahoo history without importing anything?
Yes. Start with Yahoo’s own profile and league history views. Importing is useful when you want a dedicated archive, cross-platform continuity, or records presented together; it is not required just to look at an accessible old season.
Should I save screenshots of old Yahoo standings?
They are useful supporting records, especially around a platform move. Include the season, league name, and complete standings. Screenshots preserve what you saw but are not a replacement for structured matchup and franchise data.
Why do Yahoo team totals differ between reports?
Check whether one report covers regular-season games while another includes playoffs, and whether both use final corrected results. Compare the same season and scope before treating a difference as an import error.
