Start Add league, select CBS, and follow the instructions for the league importer extension. Keep the CBS league open in desktop Chrome.
Run the extension from the league page. The CBS exporter looks for accessible historical season links, so its scope is not limited to the year currently on your screen.

Review the seasons. Match the franchises.
Return to Fantasy HofF and review the imported seasons and franchise matches. If the importer offers a recovery download, save a copy before the temporary browser export expires.

How to find your CBS league history
Open the original CBS league
Sign in to CBS Sports Fantasy in desktop Chrome and open your league. Confirm the league identity before starting, especially if your account belongs to multiple leagues.
Check the History area
Open the league’s history and review the available historical season links. Check an early season and a recent season to understand the coverage available to your account.
Inspect the reports you care about
Look at standings and playoff results first, then check drafts, matchups, and other reports. Access to a season does not guarantee that every historical report contains complete detail.

Your active CBS session provides access
The CBS extension reads the league you have opened after you sign in. It does not require sending your CBS password or login cookies to Fantasy HofF. Historical coverage still depends on the pages and reports CBS makes available to your account.
Check scores, standings, drafts, and lineups separately. Coverage varies by year and provider; an import cannot restore data the source no longer exposes.
Missing CBS league history? Start here
I am signed in, but the export has the wrong league
Check the league open in the active tab before starting. Multi-league accounts can make it easy to begin from a familiar-looking page belonging to another group. Confirm the league name and at least one team, then restart through the CBS importer instructions if needed.
Only some historical seasons appear
Compare the captured years with the links visible in the CBS History area. Open a missing year yourself to see whether the page and its reports are accessible. Record the missing season and report type so you can distinguish an access problem from a report-coverage problem.
The browser export is no longer available
If you saved a recovery copy, follow the recovery option provided by the importer. Otherwise, return to the original accessible CBS league and run a fresh export. Do not assume that an unfinished temporary browser export will remain available indefinitely.
Keeping CBS history after moving the live league
Do the archival work while your account can still open the original CBS league. Save its historical season links, verify the championship outcomes, and keep any offered recovery copy. This gives you both a structured import and a reference for investigating a discrepancy later.
When a league switches from CBS to another provider, check the boundary year carefully. Keep the original team names attached to their seasons, then map those teams to continuing franchises. If the commissioner or an owner changed at the same time as the platform, document both changes instead of assuming the newest manager owns every earlier result.
How to build an accurate all-time record book
Before comparing managers across seasons, decide what each record includes. A season champion, a regular-season points leader, and a franchise’s lifetime win total answer different questions. Keep the original results and explain your counting rules.

Same franchise. Two names. One record.
A team goes 8–6 as “Fourth & Long” in one regular season and 9–5 as “Sunday Scaries” the next. If your league treats those as the same continuing franchise, its combined regular-season record is 17–11. Keep any playoff wins in a separately labelled total. If the owner changed, distinguish franchise history from the new manager’s personal record.

Use this CSV as an inventory before importing or switching platforms. Open it in a spreadsheet and add one row per season. It is a planning worksheet, not an import file for Fantasy HofF or CBS.

Save a clear copy of the final standings and championship result where you have access to them. Name supporting files with the year and report type so they can be matched to the right row. Never put account passwords or session cookies in an archive worksheet.
When a year is incomplete, write down exactly what is missing: an inaccessible season, a missing draft, or a lineup report without player points. This gives the next commissioner a concrete task and avoids treating a partially preserved season as either fully complete or entirely lost.

Does the importer only read the season on screen?
The CBS exporter discovers accessible historical season links from the league’s history. Review the resulting season list to confirm what was captured.
Can I add CBS seasons to a museum started on another provider?
Yes. Add the CBS era to the same museum and match its teams to the existing franchises. Check owner changes as well as team names.
Do I need to give Fantasy HofF my CBS password?
The CBS connector reads the league through your active browser session. You sign in to CBS itself; the connector does not require sending your CBS password or login cookies to Fantasy HofF.
Is the current screen’s season the only one exported?
No. The connector looks for accessible historical links. The resulting list, rather than the year on the initial screen, tells you which seasons were captured.
What should I save if a CBS report is missing?
Record the original league URL, season, report type, and whether the report opens normally for you. A screenshot of an accessible result can help reconcile a discrepancy, but it does not supply missing player-level data.
