Open the ESPN league page and follow the extension’s import instructions. Keep the correct account and league open while the export runs.

Review the seasons. Match the franchises.
Return to Fantasy HofF, select the available seasons, and review team-to-franchise matches. Add another provider’s seasons to the same museum if your league moved.

How to find your ESPN league history
Use the account that played in the league
Open ESPN Fantasy Football and sign in with the account tied to the league. If you have an old league link, use it to identify the correct league rather than searching only by its current team names.
Look for the original league and year
Open the league and check the available season or history navigation. Confirm the year on the page before saving a result. A recreated league may have a different league ID from the original.
Check the actual archived reports
Review standings, matchup scores, and playoff results where available. Save the original league link and note any missing years; not every historical season exposes the same level of detail.

Older results do not always include older lineups
ESPN’s older archive data can provide scores and standings without the full lineup, transaction, or draft detail of more recent seasons. A record book built from final results is still useful, but lineup-based awards should only be expected where the underlying data exists.
Check scores, standings, drafts, and lineups separately. Coverage varies by year and provider; an import cannot restore data the source no longer exposes.
Missing ESPN league history? Start here
The league does not appear after I sign in
Confirm that this is the ESPN account you used in the missing season. Look for an original league URL in an old invitation or ask another member for it. ESPN’s league-ID help recommends checking with other league members when you cannot find the ID. A saved team name alone may not locate the league.
The extension cannot see the league
Open the actual league page in desktop Chrome and confirm that it loads normally while you are signed in. Then follow Fantasy HofF’s ESPN importer flow from that page. If the league itself is inaccessible, resolve access with ESPN or the league commissioner before retrying the export.
Scores imported, but an old draft did not
Treat the draft as a separate coverage question. Older archives can expose team results without a complete draft, transaction log, or weekly lineup history. Repeating an import will not necessarily create detail that the source archive does not provide.
Preserving ESPN history when your league changes platforms
Make a year-by-year list before moving: original ESPN URL, champion, runner-up, teams, and the source for each result. Keep the ESPN era available even if you run next season elsewhere. When adding the new era to Fantasy HofF, match franchises using the people and league context rather than the latest display names.
Pay particular attention to the transition season. A test league, an abandoned draft, or a duplicated migrated season should not become an extra championship year. Choose the actual competition your group played and preserve a note explaining any unusual gap.
How to build an accurate all-time record book
Before comparing managers across seasons, decide what each record includes. A season champion, a regular-season points leader, and a franchise’s lifetime win total answer different questions. Keep the original results and explain your counting rules.

Same franchise. Two names. One record.
A team goes 8–6 as “Fourth & Long” in one regular season and 9–5 as “Sunday Scaries” the next. If your league treats those as the same continuing franchise, its combined regular-season record is 17–11. Keep any playoff wins in a separately labelled total. If the owner changed, distinguish franchise history from the new manager’s personal record.

Save a clear copy of the final standings and championship result where you have access to them. Name supporting files with the year and report type so they can be matched to the right row. Never put account passwords or session cookies in an archive worksheet.
When a year is incomplete, write down exactly what is missing: an inaccessible season, a missing draft, or a lineup report without player points. This gives the next commissioner a concrete task and avoids treating a partially preserved season as either fully complete or entirely lost.

- Confirm the original league ID if the league was recreated.
- Treat missing draft or lineup detail separately from missing season results.

Can Fantasy HofF recover a deleted ESPN league?
There is no guaranteed recovery for a league ESPN no longer makes accessible. Start with the original account and league link. An importer can preserve available data; it cannot recreate a missing source.
Will importing change our ESPN league?
The import is for reading and preserving league data. Your live league continues on ESPN.
How do I find an old ESPN league ID?
Use the original league link or ask another league member for it. ESPN’s official league-ID help explains that the ID distinguishes your league from other leagues and can help its support team investigate access problems.
Can I import a private ESPN league?
The importer needs access to the league through the supported signed-in flow. Open the league with an account that is entitled to see it; making the league public is not a general requirement for preserving your own accessible history.
Should consolation games count toward all-time wins?
Decide what the record is meant to measure and state the scope. Regular-season standings, championship playoff records, and every recorded matchup are different statistics. A clear label is better than an unexplained grand total.
