Review the seasons. Match the franchises.

Owner names don’t come across from Fantrax. Fantasy HofF suggests which teams belong to the same manager, from team names and players kept between seasons, and you accept them in Teams & managers. If your league played on another platform before or after, add those seasons to the same museum too.

How to find your Fantrax league history

  1. Open the league on Fantrax

Sign in to Fantrax with the account you played on and open the league. The address in your browser while you’re on the league is the link Fantasy HofF needs.

  2. Save a link for every season

Fantrax gives each season its own league link, so last year’s league and this year’s league have different addresses. Open each past season you want to keep and save its link with the year next to it.

  3. Ask around when a year is missing

If you can’t find an old season, ask the commissioner or a manager who played that year. A saved invite or an old group-chat message might still have the link. Write it down with the year so it doesn’t go missing again.

History to look forWhere to startWhat to verify
Every seasonSave the league link for each year you want to keep. Each Fantrax season has its own link, so a missing link means a missing year.
Standings and championsCheck final standings and the playoff result for each season. The regular-season leader isn’t always the champion.
Weekly results and lineupsReview the weekly matchups and the lineups behind them.Keep regular-season and playoff records apart when comparing totals.
DraftsSnake and auction drafts both import.Note the draft type and year before comparing picks or prices.
Trades, player points and owner namesFantrax shares none of these. Lineups import, and we work out each player’s fantasy points from NFL stats with your league’s own scoring, checked against Fantrax’s own team scores.Accept the suggested manager matches in Settings, and keep your own notes on any trade worth remembering.

What a Fantrax import brings in

Each Fantrax season brings in teams, standings, weekly results, lineups, drafts (snake and auction), playoffs, and champions. Transactions, including trades, don’t import, and neither do owner names. We suggest which teams belong to the same manager, from team names and kept players, and you accept them in Settings. Fantrax doesn’t share player fantasy points either, so we work them out from NFL stats with your league’s own scoring. Only NFL head-to-head points leagues are supported.

A missing detail is not a missing season.

Check scores, standings, drafts, and lineups separately. Coverage varies by year and provider; an import cannot restore data the source no longer exposes.

Only one season showed up

Each Fantrax season has its own link, so one link brings in one year. Go back to Add league and paste the link for every season you want, one per line.

A link didn’t bring in a season

Open the link yourself and check that it goes to the right league on Fantrax. Then check the format: only NFL head-to-head points leagues are supported, so other league types won’t import.

Teams came in without manager names

That’s expected. Owner names don’t import from Fantrax, so match each team to its manager in Teams & managers. Once a manager is matched in every season, their records follow them across the years.

Moving to or from Fantrax

Make a year-by-year list before you start: the platform, the league link, and the champion for each season. Add the Fantrax seasons and the seasons from your other platform to the same museum, then match managers across the move.

Watch the boundary year. If your group ran a test league or started over on Fantrax, count the season you actually played once. Trades don’t import from Fantrax, so keep the trade stories your league still argues about in your own notes.

How to build an accurate all-time record book

Before comparing managers across seasons, decide what each record includes. A season champion, a regular-season points leader, and a franchise’s lifetime win total answer different questions. Keep the original results and explain your counting rules.

WORKED EXAMPLE / FICTIONAL LEAGUE

Same franchise. Two names. One record.

A team goes 8–6 as “Fourth & Long” in one regular season and 9–5 as “Sunday Scaries” the next. If your league treats those as the same continuing franchise, its combined regular-season record is 17–11. Keep any playoff wins in a separately labelled total. If the owner changed, distinguish franchise history from the new manager’s personal record.

Download a Fantrax league history worksheet

Use this CSV as an inventory before importing or switching platforms. Open it in a spreadsheet and add one row per season. It is a planning worksheet, not an import file for Fantasy HofF or Fantrax.

Fantrax archive worksheetSeason · original URL · champion · coverage · missing details

Keep evidence alongside the spreadsheet

Save a clear copy of the final standings and championship result where you have access to them. Name supporting files with the year and report type so they can be matched to the right row. Never put account passwords or session cookies in an archive worksheet.

When a year is incomplete, write down exactly what is missing: an inaccessible season, a missing draft, or a lineup report without player points. This gives the next commissioner a concrete task and avoids treating a partially preserved season as either fully complete or entirely lost.

Before you call the archive complete

  • Save a link for every season you want in the archive.
  • Accept or fix the suggested manager matches in Teams & managers.
  • Confirm the league is an NFL head-to-head points league before importing.

A few things commissioners ask

Do I need my Fantrax password?

No. Fantasy HofF reads your league from the link you paste. There’s no sign-in and nothing to connect.

Why do I paste a link for each season?

Fantrax gives every season its own league link. Paste one per season, one per line, to bring past years in alongside this one.

Does a Fantrax import include trades?

No. Transactions, including trades, don’t import from Fantrax. Standings, weekly results, lineups, drafts, playoffs, and champions do.

Which Fantrax leagues can I import?

NFL head-to-head points leagues. Other sports and other league formats aren’t supported.

Can I combine Fantrax seasons with another platform?

Yes. Add each era to the same museum and match managers across seasons, so one manager keeps one career through the move.
