Privacy Policy — Fantasy Hall of Fame League Importer
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Fantasy Hall of Fame League Importer is a Chrome extension that creates a user-initiated, read-only connection between a supported fantasy football account and fantasyhoff.com. The current version supports ESPN and CBS Fantasy Football.
Data the extension accesses
For ESPN, the extension reads exactly two authentication cookies set in your Chrome profile: SWID and espn_s2. It needs Chrome's cookies permission because espn_s2 is HttpOnly. It does not access cookies from any other website.
For CBS, the extension accesses only the active CBS Fantasy Football league tab after you invoke the extension and choose Export. It reads the active tab URL to confirm that the page belongs to a CBS Fantasy Football league and to identify the league and season. It also reads league information CBS makes available to that signed-in page, including league and team names, manager display names and provider identifiers, schedules, standings, scores, rosters, draft results, and transactions when available. It does not monitor other tabs, build a history of pages you visit, or read or transmit a CBS password, cookie, or bearer token. It has no permanent CBS host permission.
How the data is used
For ESPN, the extension uses the two values to show whether this browser has a signed-in session and returns them to Fantasy Hall of Fame only when you request the connection. Fantasy Hall of Fame validates them against ESPN and uses the authorized session to import the leagues and seasons you select.
For CBS, the extension fetches read-only league responses from the active tab's own CBS origin and transfers the season you chose to Fantasy Hall of Fame. The transfer includes the CBS league host and a canonical league URL, but not the path of the page you were viewing. Fantasy Hall of Fame validates and normalizes the response for the record book. Neither provider flow can change anything in your fantasy league.
When data is transmitted
Nothing is transmitted automatically. ESPN authentication information is sent only after a connection request you initiate on fantasyhoff.com. CBS league information is collected only after you invoke the extension on a CBS league tab and choose Export. The extension accepts handoff requests only from https://fantasyhoff.com and https://www.fantasyhoff.com and verifies the requesting origin before responding. The CBS exporter makes only same-origin requests to the active CBS league host.
Storage and retention
The extension does not persist ESPN cookies. A CBS export is staged in extension-local browser storage under a random handoff identifier for up to 30 minutes. It is deleted after Fantasy Hall of Fame acknowledges receipt or becomes unavailable when it expires. The extension stores no analytics or advertising identifiers.
Fantasy Hall of Fame stores ESPN session values encrypted at rest until you disconnect ESPN or delete your account. For CBS, Fantasy Hall of Fame discards the raw provider response after validation and stores the normalized season encrypted for re-runs; imported record-book rows remain until you remove the season or delete your account. You can delete stored CBS exports from Account → Integrations without deleting already imported record-book rows.
Manual connection
The extension includes a manual fallback that places a selected cookie value on your clipboard after you click Copy. The extension does not read or monitor other clipboard contents.
Sharing, sale, advertising, and analytics
We do not sell authentication information or league data. We do not use it for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to connecting and importing the fantasy leagues you request. The extension contains no ads, analytics, tracking, or remote code.
Data is transferred only as needed to provide the import you request: to Fantasy Hall of Fame, to the applicable fantasy provider for authentication or read-only league retrieval, and to infrastructure service providers that process data on our behalf to host, store, secure, and operate Fantasy Hall of Fame. Those service providers may use the data only to perform services for Fantasy Hall of Fame and must protect it appropriately.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Fantasy Hall of Fame's use and transfer of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Access and processing are automated. Fantasy Hall of Fame personnel and people working on our behalf do not manually read extension-derived user data unless you give explicit consent for a specific support request, access is necessary to investigate abuse or a security incident, access is required to comply with applicable law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized for permitted internal operations.
Your choices
Using the extension is optional; Fantasy Hall of Fame retains a manual ESPN connection path. You may disconnect ESPN, delete CBS exports, remove imported seasons, delete your Fantasy Hall of Fame account, remove the extension from Chrome, or sign out of either provider at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version and effective date will be posted at this URL. Material changes to extension permissions or data use will also be reflected in the Chrome Web Store disclosures.
